Australian World Oral Health Day Lecture
The Australian World Oral Health Day lecture was inaugurated by the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), the peak business organisation representing manufacturers and suppliers of dental products.
It is held each year on 20 March which is World Oral Health Day, an initiative of the FDI World Dental Federation and is one of thousands of events convened globally to raise awareness of the key themes of World Oral Health Day. Each year, a prominent individual from the oral health communitypresents a lecture that aligns with the thems of World Oral Health Day.
ADIA's support for World Oral Health Day and the Australian World Oral Health Day Lecture arises from a key objective set out in the 2016-20 ADIA Strategic Plan, a document the sets our a bold vision for an industry that empowers oral health professionals to advance the health and well-being of all Australians.
As a result of its strategy, ADIA is committed to creating initiatives that allow stakeholders to collaborate on pathways to help all Australians improve their oral health, and the Australian World Oral Health Day Lecture is one way this achieved.
The symbiotic relationship that exists between the dental industry and dental profession is valued by ADIA. Through collaboration on initiatives such as World Oral Health Day, the entire dental community comes together to help the FDI World Dental Federation achieve its global vision.
